Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 31, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how [PRO GRILL LEGAL BUSINESS NAME] ("Pro Grill," "we," "us" or "our") collects, uses and shares information through the Pro Grill Find a Pro directory and the Pro Grill Verified Service Network at progrill.com/find (the "Site"). It applies to homeowners and visitors who use the Site and to businesses that list on it.

Pro Grill does not sell your personal information.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Call requests and matching forms: your name, phone number, email, ZIP code, the service and brand you need, and the description of your project or problem.
  • Parts requests: your name, contact details, ZIP code, equipment brand, model and serial number, the part you need, and any photo you upload.
  • Reviews and questions: your name, email, city, rating and the text you write.
  • Business accounts: business name, owner name, email, phone, address, website, service area, services, brands, hours, description, logo, photos, social and review profile links, test results, and documents such as insurance certificates and licenses (including expiration dates). Billing details for paid plans are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Messages to us and messages typed into the Hans help assistant in the business dashboard.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage information: pages viewed, listing views, clicks to a business's website, taps on a business's phone number, the referring page, and the approximate time of each action. We use this to show businesses how their listing performs.
  • Device and log information: IP address, browser type and device information, which we use for security, spam prevention and rate limiting.
  • Cookies: we use a small number of cookies needed for the Site to work, such as a session cookie that keeps you signed in and protects forms from misuse. Third-party services described below, such as Google reCAPTCHA, Google Maps and any analytics we enable, may set their own cookies.
  • Location: we use the ZIP code or city you enter to find businesses near you. We do not collect precise GPS location.

Information from other sources

  • For Listed Businesses, we may collect public information such as Google or Yelp ratings, review counts and profile links, and we refresh ratings periodically.

2. How we use information

  • To connect homeowners with Listed Businesses, including sending your call request, question or matching request to the business or businesses you choose or that serve your area.
  • To find and quote parts you request, and to contact you about that request.
  • To review, verify and monitor Listed Businesses, including checking reviews, insurance and licenses, sending expiration reminders, and pausing listings that no longer meet our requirements.
  • To publish reviews, questions and answers on the Site.
  • To operate, secure and improve the Site, prevent spam and fraud, and enforce our Terms of Use.
  • To send service emails, such as confirmations, notices about your request, answers to your questions, account notices and setup reminders for Listed Businesses.
  • To create general content such as city guides and cost guides. This content does not include your personal information.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. Automated tools and AI

We use automated tools, including artificial intelligence services provided by third parties such as Anthropic, to interpret descriptions you type into search and request forms, to summarize requests for Listed Businesses, to power the Hans help assistant for business accounts, and to write general content like city guides. When you use these features, the text you enter is sent to the service provider to generate a response. We do not use these tools to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. The Hans assistant only receives information about the business account that is using it.

4. How we share information

  • With Listed Businesses you contact. When you send a call request, ask a question or request to be matched, we share the information you submit with the relevant business or businesses so they can respond. Each business handles your information under its own privacy practices.
  • Publicly, when you choose to post. Reviews show your name as you entered it and your city. Questions show your first name. Your email address is never shown publicly.
  • With Pro Grill's own businesses. Some Listed Businesses are owned by Pro Grill. Information you send to those businesses is shared with them like any other Listed Business.
  • With service providers who help us run the Site, such as website hosting, email delivery, maps and geocoding (Google), spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA), AI processing (Anthropic), analytics, call tracking and payment processing. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
  • For legal reasons, if required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety and property of Pro Grill, our users or others.
  • In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes described above, then delete or de-identify it. For example, sign-in codes and password reset links expire within an hour, email delivery logs are kept for about 180 days, and lead, review and account records are kept while they are needed to operate the Site, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. Published reviews and answered questions remain on the Site unless removed under our Terms of Use or at your request where required by law.

6. Your choices and rights

  • Listed Businesses can view and update most of their information at any time in the business dashboard.
  • You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you by contacting us using the details below.
  • You can opt out of non-essential emails using the link in the email or by contacting us. Service emails related to your request or account will still be sent.
  • You can set your browser to block or delete cookies, but some parts of the Site, such as signing in, may not work without them.

7. California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the right to:

  • know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, and request a copy of it;
  • request deletion of personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions;
  • request correction of inaccurate personal information;
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by law);
  • limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that would require this right); and
  • not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

In the last 12 months we have collected the categories of information described in Section 1, including identifiers (such as name, email, phone and IP address), commercial information (such as services or parts requested), internet activity (such as pages viewed and clicks), approximate location (ZIP code or city), professional information for Listed Businesses, and inferences limited to interpreting the service you need. We collect them from you, from your device, and for Listed Businesses from public sources, for the purposes in Section 2, and disclose them to the categories of recipients in Section 4.

To make a request, contact us at [PRIVACY CONTACT EMAIL] or [PHONE NUMBER]. We will verify your request by matching information you provide with information we hold. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, and we may ask for proof of authorization. Residents of other states with similar privacy laws may make the same requests, and we will respond as required by the law that applies to you.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect information, including encrypted connections, restricted access to admin tools, and storing private business documents outside the public part of the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above, and if the changes are material we will provide additional notice, such as on the Site or by email to Listed Businesses.
